Soft Press
Finished two paintings this evening. I haven't painted on Soft Press watercolor paper in a really really long time. Most of the time I work on Cold Press. It's good to switch things up every now and then. Keeps you on your toes. Soft press takes the paint in a different way then cold press. It's also easier to change things on Cold press. I can go back and work over edges and soften them without it being obvious that I've done so. That isn't the case with soft press. I kind of need to know what I'm going to do and how I'm going to do it before the paint ever touches the paper.
