Slumber

Here is my first watercolor painting that is larger than a standard sheet (22x30). This piece isn't that much bigger, but it is incredible what a few inches will do. It was too large to work at my small painting desk so I painted on my living room floor while watching some interesting documentaries & a couple of Colin Farrell movies. In the end it took 13 hours...and lots of layers of washes & colors.

Slumber, 24x34

Kim, I LOVE this piece! You told me you were thinking of a sleeping bear...this execution is superb!! Really shows off your talent. Love everything about it - could look at it all day. Can't wait to see it in person. Congratulations on this beautiful art work.
